Strawberry Milkshake

One of the food items I’ve missed the most while remaining at home are the drinks sold at boba stores! I’ve recreated brown sugar milk tea, pearl milk tea, and honey jasmine green tea, so I thought it was time to dive into the fruit section!
This isn’t strawberry milk, it’s thicker and more creamy- yum! However, it is also not a traditional milkshake made with ice cream, making it healthier and every bit as good too!
Kitchen Bop Music Rec: Making this yummy drink puts me in a summer mood; listen to Sthlm Sunset by Ehrling! It’s a super cool electronic song that makes you want to dance.
Makes an entire blender full. I promise it will be gone in no time; my family devoured it so fast!

Strawberry Milkshake
Ingredients
- 3 cups frozen strawberries*
- 7 cups milk* Whole milk is preferred, but any other kind, even heavy cream can work as well!
- Sugar and lemon juice to taste*
Instructions
- Depending on the strength of your blender, chop up your strawberries into pieces. Stronger blender = bigger pieces are okay. I cut mine into fourths because I used rather large frozen strawberries from Costco.
- Dump all the strawberries in the blender, and add the milk. Pulse until it begins to blend smoothly. Blend for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice and sugar, and then blend for another 1-2 minutes. You can add more milk here if the milkshake is too thick, or adjust the amount of strawberries to make it thicker.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy!
Notes
*I find that most of the time I don’t have to add sugar, but my drink orders are also always 0-30% sugar, so please add as little or as much as you want!
*If you don’t have frozen strawberries, you can use fresh strawberries with ice cubes instead.
*Some of this is supposed to be ice cream. I didn’t have ice cream at home, so I used whole milk and a splash of heavy cream!
