Hello! My name is Joyce. I am an amateur chef & baking enthusiast located in sunny California.
I started Buddy Tell as a high school junior taking advantage of quarantine due to COVID-19. As an avid foodie, I wanted to share my love of all things edible to brighten up lives starting at the kitchen.
Some fun facts about me:
- I started to bake when I was 8 year old
- My favorite color is indigo
- One of my many dreams is to open a bakery when I retire and eat cake all the time!
While I do love cooking, Buddy Tell isn’t simply a baking blog; it is also an advocacy blog for those with autoimmune disorders. As a Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis patient, I wanted to share my experiences living with my condition, explain stereotypes surrounding it, and increase awareness similar conditions. I hope that my lifestyle and healthy recipe tips will help others!

Hello, I’m Angela. I’m a high school student in the Bay Area. I’m just out here with my cat trying to navigate this world with diabetes.
I am a senior high school student with type one diabetes. I was first diagnosed with diabetes in 2016 and have been constantly learning to balance health, work, and fun. Diabetes affects so many parts of everyday life that it’s hard to navigate it. My favorite thing to do is consume media. You can always find me watching movies, documentaries, TV shows, anime, or reading novels, manga, the news. I’m always looking for new music and games to play. I’m also a huge foodie. I have spent a majority of my time searching for healthy, low-carb foods that are both good for my diabetic body and for my picky taste-buds.In this blog, I want to talk about managing diabetes as a teenager while giving useful tips to maintain health.
